Dead Space 2 Review - strategic dismemberment returns!

First of all, we must recognize at the outset this analysis that we are huge fans of the original Dead Space game. The first game was so intense; I was concerned that subsequently could not be as good as the original Dead Space. On the reverse, if Dead Space 2 was as good as the first game, or * gasp * better, I shall limit my playtime in the day with all the lights on in the House... Not to mention for having need for a supplementary life breathing the body in the room with me...

We also want you to be aware that this review may be somewhat brief... We believe not in spoilers for those who have not played a match yet, and Dead Space 2 is difficult to discuss without destroying the spoilers... Rest assured, your MOM is like Dead Space 2!

Dead Space 2 sees the return of Isaac Clarke after barely surviving his last meeting with the Necromorphs on the USG Ishamura planetracker. The game actually ended with a twist bit nice, Isaac Clarke using an escape pod to get clear of the Ishamura only to have a incorrect Nicole (her friend, who had committed suicide to avoid becoming a Necromorph) emerge from the shadows screaming in the face. Not only the end ended the game with a "Holy crap" moment, but leads to the suite.

Dead Space 2, Isaac found himself being with dementia, traumatic stress, amnesia and confined to an asylum on Titan Station, also known as "sprawl". Given the current state of his psyche, he is unable to remember the previous three years, or even how it ended on urban sprawl. It follows an another Necromorph infestation, and Isaac found once more in the middle of all this. Tons of action, plot twists and strategic dismemberment ensues.

Graphics and sound is top notch, and team at visceral games made some improvements that have been very welcome. Among these improvements was an update Locator allows you not only get directions for your next objective, but also in the store, Bank and save the destination. Movement of Zero-G has been improved, allowing more freedom of movement than the first game.

The key to take some Necromorphs is "strategic dismemberment". Take off their members to slow down and eventually kill them and save a ton of ammunition in the process. Weapons of the first Dead Space return to the suite, including plasma cutter, the guns of the line, the ripper rifle and plasma. There are a few new weapons in Dead Space 2 which offers new ways of blasting with Necromorphs, including detonator allows you to place trip mines triggered the laser and the canon of throwing the Javelin that triggers the large spikes and impales Necromorphs walls (or other surfaces).

Urban sprawl is a much larger that the Ishamura has, but there are still trees and claustrophobic corridors that you use to get through the game. Urban sprawl includes hospitals, shops, residential areas, and even a school areas. Each region includes a plethora of detail, including such things as the clocks on the bedside table that will sometimes off! Although environments vary, some more disturbing than others, the only thing they have in common is that you are never safe. As soon as you start to feel comfortable, in a region, a Necromorph come to ruin your trip.

There are several new breeds of Necromorphs wary of as well. The "Pack", which are twisted versions of human toddlers, and they like to run with you in groups. The "stalker", Necromorphs much more intelligent who travel in packs, uses cover and attempt to stay hidden before attacking at high speed. You must also keep your eyes for the "Puker" which, as their name indicates, likes to puke on you mid range.

Essentially, the game is absolutely perfect, but there are a few in the medium that gets a little redundant. Is Isaac Clarke really that unlucky of a guy that each plan to escape requires it to fix something? It makes one wonder where all the other engineers have been for the past three years because they were not obviously keep urban sprawl to the code...

The game includes 15 chapters and approximately 10 to 12 hour clocks. We took a little longer, but we're sluts for save games... Save every time without a registration station (literally).

Make sure you and remain on-site after the credits. There are some interesting dialogue that you won't want to Miss!

There is plenty of replayability as completing the game unlocks new clothes and new game modes. You can even start a new game using the equipment that you had when you completed the game, which is a very nice touch.

Dead Space 2 also includes a multiplayer mode. You are divided into two, four-man teams, one for the human/spreading security and the other for Necromorphs. The human team tries to complete the various missions and objectives within a deadline. The Necromorphs is to stop the security team. Parts of force security Sprawl exactly as Isaac Clarke, while the opposing team has four different Necromorphs at their disposal: the pack, the lurker, the puker and the spits. Experience points are earned by the online game and allowing you to unlock new weapons, of the power of stasis for humans and stronger attacks for Necromorphs. It is definitely an unbridled struggle for survival encourages teamwork.

If you are a fan of the first part, or the horror of survival in General (Resident Evil, etc.), you'll LOVE Dead Space 2. Be warned, it is not for the faint of heart... One of our editors obtained their hands on the game before I did it and they had to stop after the first ten minutes, because it was that intense (literally had to return the controller to someone else to continue to play). It has rated "Mature" by the ESRB for good reason. There is not much profanity in it, but there are some downright intense and brutal game pieces.

Dead Space 2 review

Dead Space 2. One of the best horror there since Dead Space games. There were many games horror there, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and others, but none like enough Dead Space. The original takes you to a place that you did not really meet many horror before. Space.

In Dead Space 2, you continue the story of Issac Clarke and his fight against the Necromorphs. But rather than attempt to escape the USG Ishimura, you now have to face the wrath of the exotic fatal threats to urban sprawl, a huge colony space occupied by many other humans, as yourself. The only problem is the Necromophs followed you y. You know when the Necromorphs crash the party, the fun goes down really fast tubes.

Now, it's a struggle for survival as Issac tries to make with the massive colony in one piece. And with increasing madness which is there with the help of others, will be the way to see another day?

GRAPHIC AND VISUAL.

Visually, Dead Space 2 is shocking. It's dark. It's weird. It is even surprising. The graphics are just as good as the original game, if not better. Many ways to dismember enemies is still very cool looking and very gory. It's great when I can take my gun and shows that the head of the Necromorph little nasty roll across the floor after the trigger pull. It is a thing of beauty. As in the first title, I loved the ship lighting effects. Both interior and exterior light sources that appear throughout the urban sprawl has really add an awesome atmosphere to the game. There are too many times, I would be able to see where the enemy was until they moved into the light after have hidden in the shadows. See some of the new enemies was also quite creepy.

After having played through Dead Space 2, I get nightmares of the Necromorph little children and babies. Two of these new enemies were really well done. The manner in which they are so creepy it's cool. Be able to look outside urban sprawl was awe inspiring to me. I liked the way space deep watched in both a window and exterior in weightlessness. If I had to choose, I'd take the zero sections of g centered around being outside the ship. Visually, be able to consider all of the station was just the coolest damn thing. The details of the ship and the physical size of the ship was quite staggering sweet.

SOUND

One of the most important parts of any media such as films and video games, is the musical score and the ambient soundtrack. Dead Space 2 has certainly made excellent use of the evidence of the horrorfest section. Just at the time where the visuals of the game could happen to you as your explore the vast expanses of urban sprawl, music is part of the game as a cherry tree to a sundae at the top. Creepy music as you are walking in the lobby of the dark with nothing but your Plasma Cutter can really suggest that you ask when this next creature be pop out and try to eat your skin like a skin of potatoes. And just as you think that nothing does that pass something jumps out on you are tracks through a window outside the ship, and music will suddenly change into a number of violin of tension filled quick and fastmaking your jump. The combination of music and the sound is really go well with the visuals, the game completely well constructed and enjoyable to play.

GAMEPLAY

East of gameplay, the game feels well enough play. Not much has changed since the original dead space. So if you are one of the people who played Dead Space, you quite well most of the gameplay. But for those who did not, the controls really good feeling when you get this controller in your hand. The movement of your character feels really tight. Fight against the enemies to feel satisfactory as you blast away with your weapons, Basic Plasma cutter for the Contact beam. Each weapon has two different purposes, and each has an advantage of treating different types of enemies. One of my favorite weapons is the weapon of the line. Boy, when I find that a stalker just me fast, my favourite thing is to fire this bad boy right in their legs and look in the fall of square on the face that the bottom half of their legs detach their legs. The most wonderful feeling in the world looks the sprawled on the floor and then their with a final round of your weapon to the head.

Just for those who are wondering, Dead Space 2 is more linear than the original Dead Space. Take it as you want, some people will be like her, others not. I was not well at all because the game as a whole was so engaging that I only did not really notice. Some may find the linear aspect of Dead Space 2 a little disheartening because they feel that there is a total lack of freedom in the game. This can lead to thinking that the player is simply lead a unique rabbit hole and did not give a chance to really discover. The other guard as much. Those who care are those who will be pleased that there is no more a setback involved to get from here to and back again. This may make the game faster and more suspense.

Another aspect of the game, I will honestly say that I have not seen much thought to was the multiplayer part of Dead Space 2. In this mode, up to eight players are divided into two teams of four players each. Four players will play the role of the man, and another team of four will play the part of the Necromorphs. In one of these five modes and maps, humans will be given a goal to complete, and the Necromorphs attempt he damnest to stop humans to complete objective said.

IN THE END

Ultimately, Dead Space 2 is a solid game and a suite of solid. I'll confess, I had a few points in the history of game where I was frustrated because I've always had that in me a struggle against approximately 10 or so enemies and barely any ammunition left in my collection. I almost felt as if I have to start over, but after several attempts, I finally make it through that part of the game. Even in cases like this, I think that the overall experience of Dead Space 2 was very cool, and I am satisfied with the game.

If you got the limited edition of the game, (I got it on the PS3), the game came with Dead Space Extraction, a prequel to the original Dead Space game. The game is a shooter on rails which seems to be that more than a quick draw game shooting as a shooter normal first person. Is not a bad thing, because it is different from the other two main Dead Space games, in a sense it may therefore be refreshing. Despite this, it is not almost appear as large as the main games of the series, but it is always pleasant feeling, it came with free game.

I felt that this game was great and a great purchase.

Dead Space Review

For example, suppose talk about Dead Space. Just the name of the game, can evoke a kind of image in your mind of loneliness, empty and dark. But, for us horror mind players there, Dead Space is also the name for the title a little people stuck on big vessels filled with corpses, parts of the body and exotic body bent on your life thief known horror and then your body and then finally gifles you in the face by changing it in a horrible way to adapt their desires twisted.

Dead space is centered around of an engineer named Issac Clarke. Isaac and his crew travel in space to locate the USG Ishimura, a "Cracker Planet" is work that is literally tear pieces of planets and use this huge chunk to locate valuable materials and resources. A call came in that the Ishimura went dark, to the crew of drew to repair the ship. Simple job right? Bad. It would be well understood that easy. Would be much of a game if everything was actually plan for.

In addition, the things it is found, a race exotic scary and dangerous has been unleashed on the ship, and all members of the crew aboard the Ishimura were killed or immediate is likely to be killed. Now that he is aboard the ship, and due to a failure of his own ship, it is now blocked on the Ishimura and must deal with aliens, called the Necromorphs and must find a way to ship, alive. OH, it will be a battle.

GRAPHIC AND VISUAL

Graphically, Dead Space is freaking impressive. I love just the details of the characters, the environment and the Necromorphs. It appears that regardless of whether you play the game for only one hour, twenty hours, or you may be struck by impressive how the visuals are. Dead space graphics are eye catching, not only because of the details wonderfully scary environment, or the gore factor. Isaac costume is very detailed, as well as the weapons that you use.

Moments in the game taking place outside of the ship in space is a very worrying for the following site. It is very striking looking in the vacuum of space when you make your way to a part of the ship. It is quite scary to testify.

The Necromorphs are also very cool to watch. Retail presents when feast you their eyes to these horrible things is extraordinary. These freaky creatures get more grotesque as you go through the game. The tentacles are placed in bizarre and non-natural areas, familiar parts of the body are different and modified in a horrible way. The Necromorphs are a spectacle. It is very disturbing.

SOUND

If visuals have quite a good job, the audio really brings everything. Sounds, background music and the acting voice really complete dead space game. All times tense in the game just before attack Necromorph reminds you really fiction class horror films. I loved the moments when he died, then nowhere, a giant tentacle comes from toppling of nowhere (how can you ask?) You are on a ship! (I know, but hey, this is what makes it scary) and extract you, threatening to take away. At the same time the tentacle comes out for you, this excellent music plays, jump you really.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay, like many other games, is a very important part of the game. I felt like the dead space is a not disappoint. Although the camera is constantly behind Isaac (unless you move it around) the manner in which control is satisfactory. I loved how it feels to swing your weapon and curb it gives body the enemy your bit. Grunting sounds it makes really satisfactory.

Thus, the way you manage your weapons is pleasant. Each weapon has a main mode and a secondary mode. Each of these modes is something a little different. Main weapon for Isaac, plasma, tool has the ability to be rotated 90 degrees for an optimal angle for more efficient the Necromorphes dismemberment.

ULTIMATELY

I felt that when I played Dead Space for the first time, I was satisfied at the end of my gaming session. I like to be able to play a game like space died during the night in the dark, volume on the system great orator. It's fun to play this way. It allows you to jump. It might even get screaming like a girl when this leap of creatures disgusting aliens of ventilation and a term you trying to get a hold of you and steal your life you as it would steal a little candy child.

I figure that you must give this game a shot if you like them scare yourself stupid or having at least a good scare while you play. This is good fun. This is why watching us like movies straight horror? Either get a workpiece or frighten us half to death.
