Donkey Kong Country returns - in great shape!

Donkey Kong Country returns is adding lovely family of Donkey Kong. Game has not much hype before release, but it probably should. Nintendo Retro Studios are responsible for other historical games, such as Metroid, bring it back to life. They have done it again with DK. There are some great things about this game to note.

Difficulty

Old games were very difficult, this game is no exception. Being an avid gamer, I like the puzzle to play the game more than simply beating the game. This aspect is a bonus. But from players, DK has included the Super Guide. If you stuck in an area of eight times or more, you have the option of the older, Donkey Kong showing you the correct way. You can choose to disable this option if you want, but it is comforting to know that can still be progress in the game. It is difficult, but ensures that players can advance through the game.

Tradition

Retro tribute to Donkey Kong roots and what made the series is great. They do this by including original characters, original puzzles and original environments. Choose to blast a barrel for maximum effect or go to the next field. In some situations, you have to make those quick decisions.

Diverse environments

The variety in environments is high. Each world has a different theme. There are jungles, beaches, forests and caves to name a few. Each environment brings its own challenges and each world is quite unique from each other. At the end of each world, there is a boss character. But traditional hop head may not be the only way to defeat these patterns. It offers a higher level of variety. Sometimes it has not explained very well how overcoming these, this comes the joy of finding new strategies and techniques in the game.

However, Retro also uses the power of the Wii to its best ability. Visually, the game looks like many on the Wii System. And the feeling of nostalgia is spread to every stage of the game. If you have a Wii, this game is for you.
