Classic video game review: Scholarship

Screen resembles the band electronic ticker above a trading floor of a regional stock market and the nature of "real time" environment of dynamic market effectively simulates reality missing many investment strategy games. The game also offers an advantage over the investment of several strategy games that players can compete in the same market environment. Those who want a "beer and pretzels" type game of investment will be pleased with the fast and the "language at gunpoint" market stock video (VSM).

However, it does really not for simulations of investment which reflect the conditions of real investment or for the use of a coherent strategy. First, none of the available titles have a fairly good long-term prospects. For example, glass offers little hope, because the stained glass windows of the churches is a shrinking market. This investment is, in fact, as the documentation notes "..."a shattering experience. "Well, who did not want to invest in a company as fifth, a distillery which frameworks would like"... "drink foot all profits? »

All companies have anything major wrong with them. The goal of the game is perhaps to drive investors to scrutinize their prospective real life more before any investment.

Second, lack of information and media (other than corporate Synopsis provided in short documentation negatives) would prevent any sound investment decision. All decisions in VSM must be made on the performance of the market in a particular game and that can change much more rapidly than the "real" market stock. VSM has its interesting facets, however. Even in the solitaire game, the player must attempt to overcome the 4 basic approaches. The first approach is the purchase of stock at the beginning of the game and holding until the end.

Every day, Timothy, another player to computer, sell all its shares to buy the stock closed lower on the eve. Only, Gregory, another player to computer, buys and sells at the beginning of the week made race based on the best in the previous week. Helena, the more conservative opponent, has simply invested his money in a local Bank and counting its interests. The goal of the game is to make the most money within a period of 12 weeks. It is an easy and useful as an evening of light and friendly game between other games "beer and pretzel" and quick access (average 1 and 1/2 h).
