Phantasmat Game Review

Things aren't what they seem to be Phantasmat, the last set of Codeminion. A car accident, a desperate girl, a mysterious old Hall and a submerged City set the scene in this exciting adventure. Can escape you successfully from the city liquidated and obtain help or you will eventually be part of the landscape? Use your hidden object and puzzle solving skills to go at the bottom of a tragedy forgotten for a long time in this adventure game!

Phantasmat is the last Codeminion, game developers of games success like Brunehilde and Saqqara. Phantasmat is a worthy successor, containing the same strong adventure storyline and amazing graphics, you can expect a game with such a pedigree. This time, the story unfolds in a forest of apprehension surrounding a dark and Cold Lake with a tragic history.

The game begins as you are driving along a deserted road in a heavy downpour. Suddenly, some ghostly apparitions appear on your windshield, lose you control of the car. Car crash later (depicted as awesome animation glory), you find yourself stuck at the bottom of a ravine in a forest of apprehension. As you head to a nearby hotel to use the phone to ask for help, you will find that there is something really wrong with the place. A cemetery at the Lake's edge, a city submerged in the Lake and the hotel with a name like dead Drowned hotel not very reassuring either.

The adventure starts seriously when you try to understand how get out of this mess and get help for you and a possibly mad woman who seem oh-so-friendly. The first thing you'll notice is that story really takes you and definitely takes Centre stage in this game. The original story (with a few clichés were thrown in) a sense of mystery and emergency that makes you want to find more. You may have seen similar stories before and can even be able to guess how it ends, but it is so well written that you are guaranteed to be well heard that you experience this exciting trip.

Unfortunately, a great history will not work if it is not well implemented in a game. Fortunately, Phantasmat has an elegant illustration interface and functionality that is really superb. The quality of the artwork is similar to some of the best games of its kind, as the games of Mystery Case Files, bringing successfully to life, the sensation of cold, damp and dark history. There are also many animation in the game, which actually feel more "real." Everything from the numerous cinematic history effects ambient as water rides and scurrying insects are all animated to make the game alive. Moody music, creepy and good dubbing sound effects also help make the game an entertainment package.

Any point history and art are, however, the gameplay is always important. (After all, this is an adventure game, not a cartoon video) Fortunately, the game system is not disappoint. You live the adventure through the standard main interface where you can see your surroundings as well as all the elements that seek you during your trip. In each scene, you will be able to go to adjacent areas and can consider various elements and zones closer.

Review of things close will launch a puzzle or a scene for hidden objects in the aim of unlocking the subsequent zones or to obtain a necessary component to solve the puzzle one another. Hidden object scenes are beautifully drawn and contain elements which are quite difficult to spot. In accordance with the play creepy spirit, you are sometimes necessary to find articles like hands and dead birds! Another unique feature in Phantasmat, is that you can choose to play a Match-3 game in order to find the hidden objects. Sometimes in a hidden object game, you get tired of the constant scenes for hidden objects. This game has the perfect solution, and you can choose if you want to find the hidden objects by traditional means or via a Match-3 game.

The puzzles are quite entertaining too. There are different types of puzzles, including the combination puzzles and classic puzzle where you get 4 litres of water by using only 5-gallon and a 3 gallon bottle. There are also puzzles which involve areas together, as having to navigate through the labyrinthine forest. As for other adventure games, you will also find articles or clues that will help you to solve puzzles that you encountered, you have to travel back and forth between areas.

This may seem to be commended, but Phantasmat certainly resembles a great adventure game and a full entertainment package. You'll love if you loved games of adventure like thriller like Mystery Case Files: Dire Grove. The base version of the game is not yet available, but you can get the Special Edition which includes exclusive extras like an adventure of bonus levels and more.

Rating: 5.0/5.0.
